Our workshop yesterday in Didsbury was a great success – 35 singers were led by Peter Syrus, covering a total of 13 pieces of glorious polyphony. Peter took six different settings by Palestrina, and compared them with the same texts by a range of other composers. The highlight was singing the beautiful Tu es Petrus in a wide circle, with all voices mixed together. The full review of the workshop will appear in the November newsletter.
